Father, I come to You on behalf of some of us who refuse to listen to You for complete healing of our souls. Lord, there are some of us, due to embarrassment, culture, stubbornness or age who just don't believe in therapy. Allow us to accept that therapy may be an option You are asking us to commit to. Help us to understand there is a way, we might not necessarily agree with, like Naaman, and it will change our lives for the better.
Open the eyes of our understanding so we may see that it is Your will for us to prosper in every area of our lives, especially our souls. Allow us to notice how sexual abuse has bled over to our relationships, mental abilities, health, etc. Reveal to us how to rid ourselves from the residual effects of the secrets we carry, the pain that creeps into our dreams producing sleepless nights and addictive behaviors.
Show us how to admit to behavioral responses going from 0 to 100 in rage when we are triggered hearing our abuser's name, or smell his/her scent, when a memory of the offence jumps out like a jack-in-the-box. Train our ears to hear Your method of healing so we may be cleansed from the stench of sexual abuse. I'm asking You, Lord, to grant us the will and strength to follow through with Your method so we may be healed.
Confirm for us that there is no shame in becoming whole, therefore, we should drop the excuses which prevents us from healing. Teach us to be resilient when times get hard while healing, and to be persistent if we've made a wrong choice of a therapist. Since You have not given us a spirit of fear, we should not hinder ourselves from moving forward to the way You've already provided. Lead us to and keep us on the path of wellness. in Jesus' name I pray. Amen
El Shaddai- Almighty God, I am here to petition on behalf of us who has deep rooted pain and in need of an immediate resolve. Father You know more than anyone what they are, how long we've had them, what the source is and especially how to solve them. Teach us how to let them go; give us specific steps of how to do it.
Father we have carried the weight of abuse for so long, today I acknowledge You, so You can direct our paths as in Proverbs 3:5,6 let us not reject the method You have carved out so we may receive and keep our healing.
Holy Spirit, after You have healed our hearts, show us how to guard them as in Proverbs 4:23. Cleanse our souls from the issues of life, teach us how to weed out the impurities of our thoughts and the memories of our abuse and place them into the obedience of Christ as in 2 Corinthians 10:5. Teach how to live in the newness of our healing and balance our emotions.
I rebuke the spirit of depression and suicide, in the name of Jesus. I speak life, peace of mind and joy to us who suffered from sexual abuse. Heavenly Father, show us that we are worth all the blessings You have for us and that a good life is waiting despite what we have been through, because it is Your desire as in Romans 8:18 our suffering will not be compared because we still have a glory, Your glory!!! What is to follow after our healing is greater and better than the pain we've experienced in the name of Jesus.
Continue to give us the will to live and not just survive. Teach us not to sabotage what is the good and perfect will of God for our lives so our purpose will be established. Keep igniting our will to fight when we feel like giving up. Keep sending messages to our souls to feed our faith so we will grow in the power of Your Love. Soften our hearts to receive Your word so we will be changed; do not let the enemy discourage what You have intended to give us, strength and life. Teach us how to use Your name as a shield so we can have the confidence of Your identity. Thank you for the prosperity You will breathe on our souls as in 3 John 1:2 in Jesus' name. Amen.
Proverbs 4:23 ASV
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Proverbs 3:5,6 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Romans 8:18 KJV
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
3 John 2 KJV
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Jehovah Sabaoth- The LORD of Hosts & Angel Armies, I bring my entire bloodline before You. For generations, we have been attacked by the spirit of rejection. I denounce it’s power and residual effects in my bloodline with the authority You’ve given me as Your heir in The Kingdom. Lord transfer within us Your spiritual DNA and purge us with a blood transfusion of Your truth to identify and discern every lie of rejection that echoes from our past in the name of Jesus.
Expose the unhealthy, ungodly relationships that give these lies life and sever them with Your double-edged sword. Holy Spirit I ask You to dig out from the root everything that is not of You so healing and restoration will begin and take hold. According to Romans 12:2 let us be transformed by the renewing of our minds, according to Psalm 51:10 create in us clean hearts and renew a right spirit within us.
Teach us how to diligently seek You, so You can show us how to have the abundant life You came to give us in John 10:10. As You did for Rahab be it unto me and save my entire bloodline, graft us into Your protection and lead us out of the realms of our enemies. Show us how to honor You with our gifts, talents, time and resources. Give us obedient spirits to walk in our healing forgetting the wounds of our past and to not look back. I denounce these generational curses, in the name of Jesus:
I stand on my faith, knowing it is not Your will that anyone should perish and You are a God of restoration, so I thank You for what You are doing regarding the repair, salvation and wholeness of my family, establish us in Your Kingdom and give us hearts of warriors to keep our place with You, this I ask in Jesus Name. Amen.
Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Psalm 51:10 KJV
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
John 10:10 KJV
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jehovah Mekaddishkem- The LORD who Sanctifies, forgive us for the methods we've used in order to survive. Whether it was drugs, alcohol, cutting our bodies, and/or promiscuity, show us how to be good stewards of our minds, bodies and spirits. Purge us of the unwanted spirits that have violated us, cleanse us of all deposits they have made, restore us to be the virtuous people You have called us to be.
Holy Spirit, justify us where no physical nor emotional remnants will be able to hold us captive, release us completely from being tied to these events or violators. Give us discernment as to which therapist to use while seeking healing. Confirm to us when he/she is a good fit so we can move forward.
Continue to show us we are worth all things well simply because You died for us. Teach us that our worth should be In no one else's hands but Yours, show us that we are who You say we are, that we are fearfully and wonderfully made as in Psalm 139:14 and that our souls will be convinced of this. Give us resilient spirits to pursue healing until we are thriving in who and where You've called us to be. Thank you for reminding us that our destiny will not be aborted.
Now that we will take actions consistent with being sanctified-set apart, let us stay aware of Your word in Romans 8:30,31 that through You, we are justified because You are for us. Teach us how to come to You first for even the smallest things because You want us to place all our concerns with You as in 1 Peter 5:7. Thank You for being the kind of God You are that we can trust in You. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Psalm 139:14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Romans 8:30,31
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Jehovah Shammah- The LORD is Present! It's me Lord, looking to You for assurance of our healing. Lord, we know this is a dark moment in time and most times we don't feel as though You are with us. Let us remember that at times You need us to be set apart, alone, so You can reveal the areas we need to work on. Let us hold on to the words of David in Psalm 23:3,4 even though we are in places that feel like death, You are with us, using Your rod to discipline our ways and Your staff to keep us on course so our souls can be restored.
We submit our behaviors to You, the ones we are not proud of, the patterns we fall back on when we don't feel worthy, the things we use when we want to numb the pain. Show us that the very thing we are afraid of, being alone-set apart, is the very thing we need so we can focus on what we need to change. Yet in our time of alone-ness let us remind ourselves that You are still there. In Psalm 139:8 it says if I make my bed in hell, You are there; thank You for that assurance because even though I may feel alone, I am not! As You did for Joshua in Zechariah 3:3,4 trade our habits of survival for habits of righteousness, cleanse us of our old ways and dress us with Your glory.
Comfort us in this season because there are things that keep us from feeling worthy, things people have done, things people have said, things I have done to make it through but as in Micah 7:19 thank You for Your compassion, thank You for dismissing our sins, the ones we committed over and over again. Since You chose to forget our iniquities teach us how to do the same.
Teach us to designate and commit to a season of handling every issue of abuse completely, so we will be thoroughly healed and renewed, doing it Your way. Let us be mindful that even though facing our issues is hard, healing is possible. As in Matthew 19:26 handling these issues are not impossible because You are with us. Thank You for being the strength we can lean on. Ease our anxieties, frustrations and impatience in this healing process as we appreciate all You are doing for us and our wholeness, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
Psalm 23:3,4 KJV
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 139:8
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
Zechariah 3:3,4 KJV
Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”
Micah 7:19 KJV
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Heavenly Father, You said in all things to come to You with prayer and supplication, so I am bringing this request to You according to Philippians 4:6. Lord help through the fear and anxieties with unforgiveness. Show us how to forgive ourselves of the decisions we've made. Help us to let go of the regrets we carry of how we should have responded.
Give us the specific steps to take, how to let go of the offenses against us. Show us the right time and opportunities to forgive rather in person, via writing, or from a distance. Grant us the wisdom to choose the right way. Allow us to accept that we don't have to endanger ourselves by being in the presence of the offender to grant forgiveness but we can offer it through You in prayer.
If the offender has died, we may still offer forgiveness through prayer as it is about letting go of the offense to free ourselves more so than freeing them. May we allow ourselves the freedom of being tied to the abuser and the baggage it carries. May we allow You to soften our hearts from the bitterness and anger, the toils of depression and bouts of anguish. Show us how to stay free when situations come up that may remind us of the offense.
Remind us Father, that You are with us every step of the way as You said You will never leave us nor forsake us. Thank you for the promise and reassurance that You are with us always. In Jesus' name Amen.
Philippians 4:6,7 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Matthew 28:29 KJV
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Hebrews 3:15 DLNT (Disciples' Literal New Testament)
. . . it is said [in Ps 95:7-8]: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion”.
El Roi- The God Who Sees, help us to see things clearly. James 1:8 says a double-minded person is unstable in all their ways so give us Your perspective so we can see the truth. Heal us from the conditioning of victimization. Renew our minds and give us discernment to see and hear in the spirit so we can think and respond in the way that is pleasing to You, in the time that is acceptable for You!
Show us how to restore our souls completely where we are free to smile again. Show us how-to live-in peace without the threat of reverting back to the depressions of our past. Heal us from our disassociations, teach us not to return back to the hidden places in our minds where we tap out from reality.
Show us how to be present to live life in the abundance of peace, joy and happiness in our entire beings. Thank You for the balance of our spirits, bodies and souls where Your strength will reach us and keep us safe in the process of restoration. Teach us to rely on Your protections as in Psalm 18:2 because You are our Deliverer and our Strength.
Show us that vengeance is Yours not ours because You are the judge of all; prevent us from living in regret of making rash decisions. Grant us the patience to wait on You as in Psalm 27:14 and we will place our hope in You, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
James 1:8 KJV
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Psalm 18:2 KJV
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Romans 12:19 KJV
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Psalm 27:14 KJV
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Jehovah Rapha- The LORD our Healer, there are ailments we may be experiencing that are tied to the pain of this abuse. You know more than our therapist and our doctors; cure us from the root so we may be free of all unknown ailments. You are the only One who is the antidote for all dis-ease for every area of our being, so we acknowledge You for a thorough healing.
Root out the manifestations from our bodies: blood pressure issues, nervous conditions, heart ailments, diabetes, tumors, fibroids, growths, cancers, root out manifestations from our minds: anxiety, psychological factors, depression, disassociation, schizophrenia, split personalities, demonic voices, and fear, root out manifestations from our spirits: false doctrines, loyalties to soul ties, sentimental attachments, cut the silver chords of all spirits and covenants that are not of You in the mighty name of Jesus!!! Root out all I did not mention that attack and ails us in the name of Jesus as You know all things. Bind all that is not of You and loose us to be free indeed, in the name of Jesus.
Eliminate all that has left our souls weak, our bodies weary, our minds exhausted and our spirits worn down. We look to You as our Source for all things well, where we can stand in the newness of the fruit of Your Spirit as in Galatians 5:22 since this is the foundation of a balanced life. Teach us how to keep weeding out what is a threat to us having good fruit. Show us how to protect the harvest of our souls. Teach us how to keep bringing in good fruit as in Jeremiah 17:7,8.
Heighten our discernment and strength where we will not be afraid to say no, creating boundaries in our relationships especially with those closest to us. You have not given us the spirit of fear as in 2 Timothy 1:7 so confirm for us who we should love from a distance. We ask these things in Jesus name. Amen
Galatians 5:22,23 AMP
But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Jeremiah 17:7,8 AMP
“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the Lord And whose hope and confident expectation is the Lord. “For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit.
2 Timothy 1:7 AMP
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].
El Gmulot- The God of Recompense, give us a strong sense of discernment so we have wisdom to set boundaries with those who mean us harm. Lord You know the hearts of men and You know their intentions. Give us a spiritual ear to hear when You are telling us to walk away, sever all ties and end inappropriate relationships. Show us when to prevent our children from being around those with abusive tendencies, Fine tune our eyes to see when things just aren't right; let us not take the time to figure it out when it is too late but let us take action right away to protect ourselves and our loved ones. Let us not settle for a relationship due to loneliness when it can cause devastating effects with our children.
Holy Spirit, guard us from those who intend to manipulate us for their gain. Those who know we were without fathers, who sense we were violated and will use our hurt for their advantage. Weed them out from our lives; separate us from their attachments and sentimental ties in the name of Jesus. Heal us from residual emotions and give us the boldness to move on without them and to keep that door of access closed.
Mighty God break all forms of co-dependence from our lives financially, emotionally, spiritually and physically in the name of Jesus. Let us depend solely on You as our source and our strength as in Isaiah 41:10. Separate us from those who choose to keep our love hostage, release us from their guilt trips, prevent them from toying with our emotions in the name of Jesus. For those of us who are single, show us that You will bring the perfect mate when we are whole enough to receive them, and to recognize that You are gracious enough to hold our future mates until the time is right. Grant patience to our mates for those of us who are married; give them the grace and tolerance to be supportive in our growth for wholeness.
Give us emotional maturity as in Proverbs 4:7, iron out all the times we could not effectively communicate our pain with our loved ones and it seemed like we were just lashing out; bring understanding, compassion, and restoration. Father we thank You for all You are doing in our lives as we will not forget to seek You first with our healing in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Isaiah 41:10 NIV
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Proverbs 4:7 AMP
